Catering Manager
NJC Grade 4 (SCP 5)
4 hours per day (9am – 1pm), Monday to Friday term-time plus 3 days in school holidays (for cleaning)
£12.85 per hour
Permanent role to start 30th June
We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and well-motivated Catering Manager to work in our friendly, caring and supportive village school kitchen.
As our Catering Manager, you will be responsible for:
- Preparing and cooking meals to a high standard
- Managing stock and ordering supplies
- Ensuring excellent food presentation and a smooth service setup
- Overseeing compliance, including allergen management and food safety
We are looking for someone who:
- Has experience in a similar catering role
- Is organised and able to manage their own work schedule
- Is passionate about providing healthy and delicious meals
- Understands the importance of food safety and compliance

Lunchtime Supervisor
5 hpw Monday to Friday term-time only (1 hr per day)
Grade 1 (SCP 2) £12.26 per hour
To start ASAP, Fixed Term to 31 August 2026 (in the first instance)
Are you passionate about children’s wellbeing, outdoor play, and creating a positive school environment?
We are looking for a caring and enthusiastic Lunchtime Supervisor to join our team!
As a school that follows the OPAL (Outdoor Play and Learning) approach, we believe that play is a crucial part of every child’s development. We’re committed to providing high-quality, inclusive and adventurous play opportunities every day – rain or shine!
Responsibilities include:
- Supervising pupils during lunch in the dining hall and promoting good table manners
- Ensuring a safe, fun and inclusive outdoor environment during playtimes, in line with our approach to play
- Helping to manage and set up outdoor play experiences
- Responding to minor injuries and incidents calmly and appropriately
We’re looking for someone who:
- Enjoys working with children and understands their needs
- Has a positive attitude and a good sense of fun
- Is reliable, patient, and confident managing groups of children
- Can work as part of a team to create a safe and happy lunchtime environment
- Is enthusiastic about outdoor learning and play in all weather conditions
Previous experience working with children is an advantage, but not essential. Training will be provided, including our approach to play.
The post is subject to enhanced DBS clearance and other safeguarding checks.
