Admissions to Nursery
At St Thomas and St Anne's Primary School, we also have a Nursery that currently operates in term-time Monday - Friday from 9am - 12pm.
From September 2024 we will be offering whole day sessions! From September we will be offering the following:
Morning sessions - 8:50am - 12pm
Afternoon sessions - 12 - 3:20pm
Whole day sessions - 8:50am - 3:20pm
Children can attend from the term after their third birthday until school age.
You are able to use your 15 or 30 hour entitlement with us, if you wish your child to attend for any additional hours this will be charged at £5 per hour. We will invoice for additional hours monthly.
If children attend for the whole day or for the afternoon session they will have the option of ordering a hot school meal, at a cost of £2.60, or they can bring a packed lunch.

Admissions to Reception
If you would like your child to start school with us in September, applications must be made through the Admissions Team at Shropshire Council by 15 January before the year in which your child is due to start school. All applications received by this date will be considered and parents will be informed by Shropshire Council on 16 April if they have been allocated a place for their child.

In-Year Admissions
From 1 September 2024. Shropshire Council will be coordinating and allocating all requests for places at our school.
We welcome prospective parents to visit our school. If you wish to apply for a place at our school, please complete the online application form via this link – Synergy - Homepage (shropshire.gov.uk)
Your application will be processed by the School Admissions Team at Shropshire Council in accordance with our school’s oversubscription criteria. You will then be notified via letter of the outcome of your application.
If you are planning on transferring your child from another school, 'mid-term' applications will be subject to the same admissions criteria as for Reception admissions. To apply for a place other than the start of Reception, please apply directly to the school on a mid-term application.
